Dearest Diary,
The summer holidays continue to be a delightful respite from the responsibilities at the schoolhouse. The day began with the weekly services and a lesson on the Psalms. Following the afternoon tea, the eldest Miss Lindsay and I made a visit to the Tower View estate of Mother and Father where two kittens were abandoned in their phaeton overnight. It is unclear why one would leave two helpless felines in the rear of an empty phaeton but it is most certain they endear themselves to anyone who wouldst hold them. I was most foturnate in that respect. The two are in desperate need of a home as we have not the room to board additional animals in either estate.
The evening brought a visit to the Disney estate and a stroll through the castle's lawn. Tonight offered a stunning view of Parliament from the castle steps. Although I am under no obligation, I am certain I shall revisit the schoolhouse on the morrow...
